HI, MY NAME IS FAFF!! Why 'Faff'? Well, it's short for 'Faffreux' which simply means 'Fawful' in French (as 'affreux' = 'awful' with an 'F' in front of it!) It was the name for him used in the NOA French version of Bowser's Inside Story and it resonated with me to such a degree that I took it as my name around 2020 and have been known as Faff ever since. :] Although I live much further north now, I was born and raised in New Orleans where most of the words around me were French in origin and as a result I'd been using many of them from a young age. Because of this, Faffreux not only touches upon my love for Fawful but also a part of my own personal history as well!
I love Fawful to pieces and we are dating and also married ;] I have a ton of interests but I’ll be honest with you that I'm usually talking about my adoration for a certain Mario & Luigi bean if I'm posting online and therefore that's what this page is primarily about! His character is extremely important to me and has positively impacted my life in a myriad of ways. He’s featured in 99% of my artwork because he’s the reason I’m drawing again after so many years of feeling uninspired.
Since 2020 I've been pouring my imagination into a story that takes place after the events of Bowser’s Inside Story and is essentially a kind of love letter to Fawful. It’s a mixed media project shown through writing, illustration, mini-comics, and eventually animations as well when I'm able to pick up that skill in the future. (Although my dear friends have contributed some in that department in the meantime... check out the animation section linked on the main page!)
THAT BEING SAID I LOVE COFFEE A LOT AND I TALK ABOUT IT A TON AND MY LIFE IS MADE OF ADVENTURES. I’m almost always planning and/or saving to do something ridiculous. (One time it was clown school, another time it was a photography trip on the arctic tundra so you never really know, tbh.) I feel that my life is enriched the most by pushing myself out of my comfort zone as much as I possibly can. I want to always be learning and growing in some manner if I can help it. I'm a very nostalgic and intensely spiritual individual whose greatest joy lies in telling stories and sharing my time and energy with other people, whether said people consist of old friends, new friends, or total strangers. I feel like I can learn something important from everyone I meet.

- I love winter and everything that it entails! (Give me negative temperatures and snow over the heat of Summer ANY day!! Please!!)
- I once saw a polar bear in the wild. (Seriously, I took a photo of it! It's on this page!)
- I've been working as a barista for 5+ years now but am training as a professional cake decorator as well! I like to think Fawful's proud of me given his own prowess in the culinary arts... shout out to my dearest, hehe.
- I'm obsessed with gourmand scents!! Seriously, you should see my growing collection. Just some of the things I like to spray both around my room and on myself are named as follows: Coffee Shoppe, Coffee Haus, Strawberry Milkshake, Strawberry Milk, Mexican Fried Ice Cream, Frosted Sugar Cookie, Princess Buttermint, Cereal Milk, Caramel Butterscotch, and Pumpkin Carving!
- Another special interest of mine is skincare! I used to suffer from such awful hormonal acne that all the research I did turned me into a bit of a walking encyclopedia of sorts on the topic, haha. I love 'prescribing' routines to my friends who are struggling with their skin.
If I had more cash at my disposal I'd be hopping all over the world, honestly. I have so many things I want to accomplish and experience with my life and I cannot wait until I finally have the opportunity to see them through. In the meantime I've found passion untold within Fawful, the happiness he's brought me, and everything I've created around his character over the last 3+ years. The joy he brings me led to everything you're reading now, after all! This site wouldn't even exist!! I LOVE FAWFUL, OKAY.
